Happy Birthday Dr Suess

Do you remember the first time you read one of Dr Suess’s beloved books? Perhaps it was The Cat in the Hat or Green Eggs and Ham that mesmerized you with its whimsical rhymes and words. Right now my favorite is the Lorax.

Every year on March 2nd, we take a moment to celebrate this master storyteller on what would have been his 113th birthday! Whether it's your own memories or creating new ones with your family, find ways to honor the creativity, fun, and joy that is all things Dr. Seuss. From silly songs to themed recipes and crafts – let’s get creative for a special day in celebration of Good old “Dr. Suess”!

READ ALOUD his books at least 15 MINUTES A DAY

Indeed, Dr Suess achieved amazing feats in his career. TO THINK I SAW IT ON MARKET STREET was published in 1937 after 27 rejections. It filled the world with the funny and touching stories we've come to know and love and paved the way for countless other books. His contributions even now touch our lives through film adaptations, stage plays, board games, activities, poetry contests and so much more! He truly created an entire world of imagination and literacy that children of all ages can explore and enjoy.

Let's honor his legacy by continuing to read his work and discover new ways to keep his legacy alive for generations to come. As a perfect start, I urge everyone to make it part of their daily routine to take 15 minutes each day this month to read from a Dr. Suess book. Let's continue the adventure together!
