Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2022

It is happening again. I am headed back to the L A TIMES BOOK FESTIVAL at USC Campus on April 23 & 24, 2022

I am going to tell you the story about the first time I had a booth at the LA Times Book Festival. The year was 2018 and I was on the phone with my son, Jay P. I had just confirmed my booth at the Festival. We were throwing out different ideas: Maybe we could get a large cardboard cut out of a bighorn sheep. Being in education all my life I thought we could draw some horns on a sheet of construction paper and give them to the children.

Then my daughter-in-law, Julene, a Graphic Artist, walked into the room wearing her rendition of horns. I was ecstatic.

Our creative juices started to flow. Jay P., who is a Commercial Photographer said I think I can rent a life size stuffed bighorn sheep for picture taking .

Fast forward to this year. Two other people who will be helping me this year will be my other son Kelly. Kelly a realtor, one of the best in LA at selling large apartment buildings will be handling the sales. He will be helped by his daughter, Kyana who is usually seen bustling around UCLA Campus completing her degree in Psychiatry.

This year the booth will display my newest book BUMMER and the Nanny Goat. We will have the Bighorn Sheep back for family pictures.

Some added goodies:

  • The 3 Fold “Real Life of BUMMER our Pet bighorn Sheep.” - Pictures and stores of our family with BUMMER.Coloring Pages from both BUMMER and the Nanny Goat and BUMMER our Pet Bighorn Sheep.

  • Information Page on “Importance of Reading to Children”.

  • New Bighorn Sheep Horn
